From investment and energy consumption to workforce impact and regulation, we aggregate data from the world's most authoritative sources into a single, accessible platform.

We believe that understanding the AI economy shouldn't require expensive subscriptions or deep technical expertise. Every data point on Aiconomy is free, cited, and designed to be understood at a glance.

Methodology

How Our Counters Work

Our live counters use algorithmic projection, similar to the approach used by Worldometers.info. Each counter starts from a verified base value on a known date, then projects forward using an annual rate derived from authoritative data sources.

The formula is: currentValue = baseValue + (annualRate / secondsPerYear) × elapsedSeconds. This gives a smooth, real-time estimate that updates every animation frame.

These counters are estimates, not exact counts. They represent our best projection of real-time values based on annualized rates from verified sources. Actual values may vary due to seasonal patterns, market events, and reporting delays.

Statistics

Every statistic on Aiconomy includes its source, source URL, and publication date. We prioritize data from peer-reviewed reports, government agencies, and established research institutions. Where estimates vary between sources, we note the range and cite the most widely referenced figure.

Updates

Data is refreshed daily via automated pipelines. When major reports are published (Stanford HAI AI Index, IEA Energy Report, McKinsey Global Survey), we update our counters and statistics within 48 hours.
